Okay, so how does a small town girl from America end up all the way in Australia? Mickey Mouse, obviously. So back in August of 2017 on a random day trip to Disney World the friend I was with told me I should apply for the Disney College Program so I on whim after that day trip I went home and applied and about two weeks after I found out I had been accepted and was going to be doing the spring college program. All about my college program though is another post, for another time. While there though I met a boy named Keanu, and from literally the first day we met I just knew our friendship was something going to be a special adventure.
Well, my new best friend who was also doing the college program was from a place I get to call home now Perth, Australia. I knew without a doubt I would visit Australia and Keanu one day. On the last day I saw Keanu while he was in America he told me he refused to say goodbye instead it was see you soon because we knew that we would see each other again though. At the time though, living in Australia was never something I thought would actually be a possibility for a small town girl like me.
When planning my visit to Australia the idea of me applying for a working holiday visa came into the picture. After many conversations I applied for the visa, was accepted and now am living with my best friend in one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. The goal of this blog is to basically to be a how-to for moving to another country, the visa process, and everything in between about Australia, and navagting this crazy thing called life in your twenties, so make yourself a cup of coffee and come along on this journey with me.
